
Police headquarter in Baghlan province launched a seven day professional seminar for 19 officers of police headquarter in Baghlan province in identifying, discovery and defusing of mines and explosives.
Master sergeant Khuda Bakhsh Rahimi head of engineering team of police headquarter in Baghlan province said to Bayan-e-shamal, it was better for police personnel in particular engineering team to get to know about types of IED, mines and explosives to discover and defuse in order to save lives of innocent people as insurgents and Taliban fighter have lost the ability to stand against security forces and always using IED and mines to target people.

He added that officers of 14 districts in Baghlan province and as well as 7 police districts in the city of Pul-e-Khumri attended the seminar and it was very helpful to them to handle job professionally.
Mr. Rahimi further detailed, cooperation of people with police to discover and defuse mines and IED is vital and asking all people to help their security forces to protect and save lives of people.
At the same time, some officers who attended the seminar said to Bayan-e-shamal, they faced lack of knowledge and information about identifying and defusing of IED and mines in the past, and the seminar provided them very needy information and enabled them to fulfill the duty more professionally.
