Sar-e Pul Police Commander informs about adoption of extreme security measures on Nowruz days in this province and assures Sar-e Pul people they can celebrate the New Year without any concerns.
Initial work for asphalt of 15 km road in the center of Sar-e Pul began by Governor of the province cutting the ribbon.
Ratib Popal, Deputy of Watan Group Company, oil contractor of Amo River Basin that has the responsibility for funding and implementing this project said to Bayanshamal the road begins from the intersection at Women’s Affairs Department and continues to oil wells in Qashqari area in the center of the province.
He added the road will be asphalted within one year and it will be handed over to use.
Mr. Popal didn’t say anything about the cost of the project, but clarified that purpose of asphalting the road is avoiding damages caused by giant oil tankers taking roads inside the city.
In the meantime, Mohammad Zahir Wahdat, Sar-e Pul Governor hoped in the inauguration ceremony of the project that oil contractor of Amo River Basin fulfills its other commitments that include reviving city’s water supply network, creating oil refinery, creating job opportunities for more than 2 thousand youth and sending some youth to China for scholarships.

Today, Sar-e Pul residents gathered in a big congregation and created a people’s council named Social Solidarity of People and also announced their support for central government and Afghan National Defense and Security Forces.
