22 Taliban killed, wounded in Sar-e Pul

Local officials of Sar-e Pul province inform about 22 armed Taliban being killed and wounded in Sozmah Qalah district of the province. 

Zabihullah Amani, Spokesman to Sar-e Pul Provincial Governor told Bayan-e Shamal that last night, led by Mawlawi Mohammad Zarif their deputy governor for Sar-e Pul, Taliban conducted aggressive raids on Afghan National Army posts in Gorkab area of Sozmah Qalah district and faced resistance from security forces. 

Mr. Amani adds that as a consequence of the four-hour clash 9 armed Taliban were killed and 13 others were wounded. 

According to him, after the arrival of fresh troops, the security condition in the area has returned to normal. 

This happens while based on sayings of security officials in Sar-e Pul, armed Taliban had assaulted Sayad district last Tuesday night, faced confrontation from security forces, 2 of their men were killed and 3 others were wounded.
