Ahmad Jawid Jawid, Head of Sar-e Pul Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department said the projects included digging 60 half-deep wells in Sancharak and Gosfandi districts and also creating 8 water networks in Balkhab district. He said that practical work on projects started two weeks ago and they will be completed and handed over to use within a month.
According to Mr. Jawid the projects will cost 75 million AFN which will be paid by the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development and after their completion more than 40 thousand families will benefit from healthy drinking water.
It is while officials at Sar-e Pul Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department had informed about daily water supply to 20 thousand families needing drinking water in Sayyad, Sozmah Qalah districts and center of the province some time ago.
