116 government opponents killed, wounded in Special Units’ operations in Kunduz

From the start of the year to date, In Special Units’ operations in Kunduz 116 armed opponents of government have been killed or wounded and a big number of their compounds and strongholds have been destroyed.

Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Ali, Commander of 10th Battalion in Kunduz, pointing out to this issue said to Bayanshamal that despite the fact that Taliban started Khandaq operation from the start of the ongoing year, but Special Units defeated them in their plans and made them sustain heavy casualties.

Mr. Ali adds that from the start of the ongoing year until now, in special commando operations in Kunduz, 81 armed opponents of government have been killed, 35 have been wounded, 83 of their strongholds have been destructed, 56 meters of tunnel dug by them in Aqtash district has been destroyed and 56 mines planted by them have been detected and defused.

He says the above operations were conducted in different parts in center and districts of Kunduz and people had good cooperation with commando troops during the operations.
