First round of women’s bowling competitions held in Mazar-e Sharif  Featured

First round of women’s bowling competitions was held in Mazar-e Sharif city to identify superior faces for selected team of the north.

Idris Farooqi, Head of Bowling Federation of Afghanistan says 16 bowlers competed in this round, and Fazila Hoorzad with 367 points, Razia Mosavi with 347 points, and Zahra Javadi with 311 points gained first, second and third positions respectively. 

Recently, a bowling saloon has been created in Mazar-e Sharif city and women in the province are pleased that now they have the opportunity to play bowling and thrive. 

Bowling is a sport which has found its place amongst youth in the country. Players compete to score points in this game, but some also play it as a form of entertainment.
