President Ghani visits Balkh in a two-day trip

Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the country, on his second trip to Balkh province, initially inaugurated 360-bed Abu Ali Sinai-e Balkhi hospital, which has been built by the German government in five floors at a cost of 15 million euros. Then he met with different classes of people in the province and announced the efforts of government for self-sufficiency, production and infrastructure development in the coming years.

President Ghani stressed that no one would be allowed to exploit natural resources, and the war in Afghanistan would not be privatized in another thousand years.

The construction of the Amu Sea coast and water management in Balkh with the aim of preventing drought, creating solar electricity sources, creating employment opportunities, expanding the Balkh-Herat railway, managing mines and building a common market with the countries in Central Asia are other issues that Mr. Ghani highlighted.
