Indian Ambassador and Balkh Governor laid foundation stone of a cricket stadium in Mazar-e Sharif city through a ceremony.
Khaliq Dad Noori, in charge of Afghanistan Cricket Board in North and Northeast of the country says the stadium will be built based on international standards on 20 acres of land for 1 million USD from financial assistance of India and it will have the capacity of 20 thousand spectators.
On the other hand, Vinay Kumar, Indian Ambassador said in the ceremony that they built a standard cricket ground in Kandahar and now they have started construction of another one in Balkh.
He also vowed to provide the best facilities for the ground and for cricket players so that Afghanistan’s cricket team becomes one of the best in the world.
