Asphalt of road for Mawlana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi International Airport begins in Balkh

Asphalt of main road for Mawlana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi International Airport started yesterday in presence of Indian Ambassador Vinay Kumar and Balkh Governor Mohammad Ishaq Rahgozar.

Mohammad Asif, Director at Mawlana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi International Airport says the road will connect the airport to Khalilullah Khalili square in Mazar-e Sharif-Kabul highway and it will be 2.8km long, which will be built for 3 million USD from financial assistance of India.

On the other hand, Vinay Kumar, India’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, who has come to Mazar-e Sharif to inaugurate the road, talked about continuance of his country’s assistance to Afghanistan and clarified that the two countries have a strong relation and India is endeavoring to help Afghanistan in different sectors.

It is worth mentioning that Ishaq Rahgozar, Balkh Governor thanked India for its donations and added that India has helped Afghanistan in different fields.
