Work begins on seven development projects in Teshkan

Practical work of 7 projects of Citizen Charter Program in irrigation and agriculture, drinking water and hygiene sectors has begun in Teshkan district of Badakhshan. 

Total cost of the seven projects has been estimated over 12 million and 900 thousand Afs and with their implementation local residents will have access to different facilities. 

Hayatullah Farhang, Head of Badakhshan Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department, in the inaugural ceremony of the projects in Teshkan district, said the projects were accommodated for the purpose of poverty reduction and economic betterment of people. 

Abdul Wali Zahid, In-charge of Citizen Charter Program also requested local inhabitants to partake in application of the projects to witness better outcomes.  

These projects will be applied in Ghalawak, Muzafari, Sarpishani, Baharestan, Darah-e Qaq and Nawabad of Darah-e Qaq villages, and more than 8,500 people in 1,191 families will benefit from them.
