80 flood-harmed families helped in Badakhshan

Head of Badakhshan Disasters Management says that more than 80 families affected by the recent flooding have been assisted and the process for detecting harmed families is in progress.

Sayed Abdullah Hamayon Dehqan, Head of Badakhshan Disasters Management said to Bayanshamal yesterday that besides assistance to harmed families, they have also opted programs to open some sub-streets and clean some agricultural canals.

Mr. Dehqan also stated that in addition to distributing food and non-food items to those harmed in latest tragedies in Badakhshan, they have also created temporary shelters to the families whose houses have been somehow destroyed.

In recent weeks some north and northeastern provinces of Afghanistan witnessed heavy rainfalls which left substantial financial and life losses.
